About Us

The Journal of Security Strategies was first published open-access by the Strategic Research Institute (SRI) of Turkish War Colleges in 2005 and has continued its publication life uninterrupted since then. The Journal's publishing rights have been transferred to the Atatürk Strategic Studies and Graduate Institute (ATASAREN) established under the Turkish National Defence University in 2016.

Becoming an international peer-reviewed journal as of December 2011, the Journal is now indexed in EBSCO (Academic Search Complete), Central and Eastern Online Library (CEEOL), Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) as well as in the Social Sciences and Humanities Database within ULAKBİM (National Academic Network and Information Center), which is under the mandate of TUBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey).

We accept articles/papers on strategy, security, international relations, regional studies, war studies, defence management, intelligence studies, the law of war and armed conflict, and military sociology. The publication language of our journal is Turkish. However, we accept papers/articles written in English, German, or French.
